Pakistan: Experts stress establishment of crop specific centres

Last week, during a three-day International Horticulture Conference, experts suggested that crop specific centres of excellence should be established under the China Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC).

They pressed for a cohesive effort to address the interactive horticulture investment plans and for a more efficient use of cheaper skilled manpower, as well as proper business plans to boost the floriculture industry in Pakistan.

Experts suggested improving the business chain of horticultural products by strengthening the domestic market and they urged the authorities to keep monitoring the protocols for maintaining international standards of horticulture crops.
