North America: Grower recalls microgreens over listeria concerns

Greenbelt Microgreens were informed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that Listeria was detected in their broccoli Microgreens in Washington state. As a precautionary measure, they have voluntarily recalled all 19 microgreen products produced in Maple Ridge, BC which were distributed to BC, AB, Oregon, and Washington state. No illnesses have been reported.

The CFIA and Greenbelt's food safety team are currently on site investigating. The Ontario greenhouse and customers along with the New York State greenhouse and customers are not affected by this recall. Greenbelt encourages customers who have products within the affected recall to follow the CFIA recommendation of properly disposing of the item or returning to your place of purchase.

Any updates can be seen on the CFIA website.
