Ellepot and FloriPartner launch Scandinavian partnership
Ellepot has formed a strong partnership with FloriPartner, which is headed up by Torben Fisker Olsen, to produce pre-made eco-friendly pots for the Scandinavian market. The collaboration means that there is now a platform in place for customers in Scandinavia to order Ellepot paper pots on a daily basis. This is a customized solution where nursery growers can use their own mixture of soil, and choose from more than 18 types of specially developed and environment-friendly Ellepot paper and membranes, as well as Ellepot propagation trays.

Commenting on the new partnership, CEO Lars Steen Pedersen says: “After our cooperation with a longstanding partner in Denmark came to an end, we were very committed to ensuring that customers would have continued access to Ellepot for the production and propagation of young plants. We have achieved this through our strong partnership with FloriPartner. With Torben and his dedicated and experienced team, we have a partner who can advise and service our customers in Scandinavia.”
FloriPartner has its production facilities and offices in Odense on the Danish island of Funen. The company has strong market presence in the supply of cuttings, seedlings and semi-finished products to commercial nursery growers. FloriPartner serves the Scandinavian horticulture industry, in particular the Danish and Norwegian markets, where it has close and long-established partnerships with customers. FloriPartner also supplies materials for a variety of potted plant cultures to the Swedish market.

“The new partnership is the perfect match for FloriPartner,” says Torben. “We can now offer our customers and the entire Scandinavian market a complete solution that ensures even easier access to first-class service and guidance from FloriPartner. We have invested in the latest machines and paper technology from Ellepot, so that customers now have a choice of soft pots with extra airflow. This means that customers will experience faster root development of many cultures, resulting in more efficient and profitable production.”
Torben continues: “We also look forward to advising customers on the choice of Ellepot paper and membranes. And, of course, we offer the entire Ellepot program of specially developed papers based on FSC certified wood fibers and the associated environmental certifications and documentation for planting.”
