Illumitex increases focus on Canadian market

Illumitex is continuing to drive adoption of digital lighting in the horticultural channel by adding two leaders to the customer engagement team. This addition brings years of customer experience leadership and an increased focus on the Canadian market.

“Both of these roles are newly created and are a testament to our commitment to Canada, and to a successful customer experience. Our recent growth has enabled accelerated investment in our people. This is an exciting time to be part of rapid growth and expansion,” says SVP John Spencer.

Ryan Magee joined the team as Canadian National Business Development Manager in mid-March and will focus on strengthening our cultivator network in Canada. Ryan Magee is lifelong proponent of sustainability, founding several successful renewable and energy efficiency start-up companies that has experienced tremendous growth in revenue under his leadership. He has a strong business acumen, project management, leadership, structuring financing, and the ability to execute projects on time and on budget. Ryan Magee holds a BBA with Honours at Trent University in Ontario, as well as an international marketing diploma at George Brown College.

Zandy Acosta Risco also joined the team as Customer Experience Leader in mid-March and will focus on improvements in the customer experience. She brings a wealth of Corporate Training experience in the areas of Customer Service, Leadership and Brand effectiveness. Prior to joining us Zandya was the Client Program Supervisor on-site at Apple, managing the day to day of 100+ Fraud Prevention Specialists as well as managing the relationship with Apple. She also served as Director of Customer Service and Training for Liberty Science Center, a 300,000-square-foot interactive museum welcoming more than 650,000 visitors each year.
