France: Food truck delivers more than 800 dishes to students

On the occasion of the 20th edition of Expo Flo, Rijk Zwaan France, a specialist in the production and marketing of vegetable seeds, took off on the road with its food truck to deliver 800 soups and salads to students from the Agrocampus Ouest in Angers.

The 20th edition of the Floral Exhibition was held on March 23rd, 24th and 25th. Organised by the engineering students of Agrocampus Ouest Angers, this meeting attracted more than 5,000 landscape and horticultural visitors to the school campus. With 8000 m² fully planted, and a rich program of conferences and events, the event required months of preparation, and a week of intense work, during which the 400 students struggled from morning to night.

It was for this occasion that Rijk Zwaan France carried out an original communication operation on the campus, with the establishment of a "Food truck Rijk Zwaan", on the last three nights of the preparation of Expo Flo. Rijk Zwaan distributed soups and salads to the students, to fill them with vegetables, and give them strength in the final stretch of organising the event. In total, more than 800 dishes were delivered by our food truck on March 20, 21 and 22.

"The students, though delighted, were very curious and asked a lot of questions about the operation and our activity. Most of them, who hadn’t heard of us, hadn’t considered a traineeship in our industry. This operation was an opportunity to inform them, to create links, and to broaden their horizons."

"We are convinced that, through this type of action with a captive audience, we give visibility to our values, the culture of our company, and the diversity of our businesses; creating vocations, attracting talent, but also making our sector known to future decision-makers in the sector, are the main aims of this type of action. An operation we hope to repeat more widely."
