Logo Plantise revealed

Plant nursery Leo Ammerlaan celebrates 50th anniversary

Dutch plant nursery Leo Ammerlaan celebrated its 50-year anniversary last week in great fashion. During the celebration, the new Plantise logo has also been presented. Under this logo the company, formed after the merger of three well-known Dutch nurseries, will enter the market.

Plantise
The merger plans of nurseries Leo Ammerlaan, Van der Lugt and the Grow Group were announced last year. Combined under the name Plantise and with a greenhouse acreage of approximately 59 hectares, the company has become one of the biggest players in the propagation industry.

The three participating companies build on extensive experience and have been active in the propagation industry for many decades. Last Friday, the 50th anniversary of 'youngster' Leo Ammerlaan was celebrated.

On Friday afternoon an event was held with over 300 customers and relations. On Saturday the festivities were continued with all employees and their families. Former skater Ben van der Burg (born in Westland) presented the evening. He garnered a lot of laughs while he rapidly focused the audience's attention to development of technology in the past, present and future, interspersed with personal stories.

Merger
After Ben's speech, the six board members of plant nursery Leo Ammerlaan, the Grow Group and plant nursery Van der Lugt were called to the stage. As of this year they will be continuing jointly under the name Plantise. Ilone: "If you can't share, you can't multiply." Her brother John added: "Sometimes it's necessary to step over your own shadow to get ahead."

With an official push on the button the new company logo of Plantise appeared.

Three family companies
The new logo emphasises the merger of the three family enterprises. With 59 ha production area, 7 branches, a 75 million euro turnover and 190 employees Plantise is a single powerful company and the second plant nursery of the Netherlands. Plantise is active in more than 20 countries.

After the reveal it was time for the party. Check out some party shots here:
