US (CA): Vegetable grower encourages healthy eating with giveaways

D’Arrigo California is encouraging people to make 2018 the greenest year yet, in the best way possible through two healthy eating giveaways. “We are excited to kick off these two simple and delicious giveaways for consumers to commit to healthy eating and inspire a friend to make this the healthiest New Year ever,” states Dave Martinez, Vice President of Sales.

Starting on Friday, January 5th, the Andy Boy Facebook page will launch an ‘Eat the Bulb Selfie’ giveaway. To enter, users must ‘follow’ the Andy Boy Facebook page, ‘like’ the post and share a selfie with the fennel bulb. We want to support your fitness resolutions by encouraging you to enter to win the following healthful prizes:
  • $100 Whole Foods Gift card for 1 winner
  • 3 bulbs of Andy Boy fennel
  • Fennel recipe cards
Then, beginning on Sunday, January 7th, the Andy Boy Broccoli Rabe Facebook page will host a social media ‘Health Buddies’ giveaway.  “This is yet another way for us to to encourage consumers to start the year off right and stick to their New Year resolutions,” states Claudia Pizarro-Villalobos, Director of Marketing and Culinary.

To enter this giveaway, users need to simply ‘follow’ the Andy Boy Broccoli Rabe Facebook page, ‘like’ the post and ‘tag’ a friend who has resolved to eat healthy in the comments. The winner will receive the following:
  • $100 Whole Foods Gift card for 1 winner
  • 3 bunches of broccoli rabe for the winner and the winner’s friend
  • 1 Eat Broccoli Rabe t-shirt for the winner and the winner’s friend
  • Broccoli rabe recipe cards for the winner and the winner’s friend
The lucky winners will be announced on Monday, January 22, 2018 on the Andy Boy Facebook and Andy Boy Broccoli Rabe Facebook pages.  “Our commitment to healthy eating choices will be to continue to provide nutritious and delicious Andy Boy vegetables so our consumers can keep up their clean, green eating year-round,” states Claudia Pizarro-Villalobos.
