Long gone are the days that the Dutch were dominating the international markets for greenhouse technology. Ukraine: Galicia Greenery opens new expansion
Within two years after sowing the first lettuce, Ukrainian greenhouse company Galicia Greenery has expanded its operations with a new 4,600 square meter greenhouse. Dutchman Mikel Honders, project manager of Foodventures, says the expansion is a logical next step for the Ukrainian greenhouse company.

Mucci Farms announces Phase Two of their strawberry farm development with a 12-acre expansion of Boem Berry Farms, doubling the current footprint to 24-acres—over 1 million square feet, to be in operation in the Fall of 2017. "I could not be more excited and proud of our entire team," said VP Joe Spano.

Spanish growers take advantage of delays in Dutch production
The Spanish greenhouse growers in Almeria seem to pull their crops through a little longer than usual. They are trying to continue as long as possible in order to take advantage of the good market prices and lower supplies from growers in other parts of Europe.

60 Dutch growers invest in Water Purification Cooperative
More than sixty Dutch horticultural companies have definitely joined the Horticultural Water Purification Cooperative 'De Vlot'. They have signed the agreements and in September the construction of a purification plant will start. It should be operational by the end of 2017.
