When horticultural knowledge is turned into philanthropy

Berger has compiled some of its wide expertise in 14 technical guides covering diverse horticultural subjects such as wood fiber, soil pH and tomato growing. These downloadable training guides for the grower community are always available free on the company website, but for Thanksgiving, Berger decided to go the extra mile.

For every guide downloaded between November 23 and 27, one dollar will be donated to charities vetted by CNN’s Impact Your World that are helping Hurricane Harvey victims. One of Berger’s manufacturing plants is in North Texas, and although the area was not affected by the hurricane, the company leadership was deeply concerned by the extent of the disaster and the distress of Texas residents and wanted to do something to help.

“We want to make a double gift this Thanksgiving by helping the community recover after this natural disaster while also highlighting the knowledge we share in our technical guides,” says Elizabeth Raymond, advertising and promotion supervisor at Berger.

So, if you are curious to know more about horticultural practices, download as many guides as you want and boost meanwhile your contribution to a good deed!
