CAN (ON): AquaGrow Farms is expanding

Since starting the AquaGrow Farms last year, one of the most common questions received by the Mississauga Food Bank is “do you have plans to expand?” The response has always been along the lines of “we want a year to familiarize and optimize our farm before branching out further”. Now they're ready to provide even more fresh and nutritious produce to neighbours in need.

Considerable research has been done on the possibility of increasing yield within the current growing space available, and they’ll be plumbing in a new raft tank within the next month. Previously they were harvesting around 41 heads of greens per week, but now with the 54 more growing spots, they can increase their yield to 54 heads per week or more.

The next public tour of AquaGrow Farms is happening on November 16 from 6:00pm-7:00 pm.
