Upstart University connects aspiring farmers to jobs in ag

Plenty is growing rapidly and expects to employ dozens of farmers in the coming months and years. Plenty is training and educating local farmers of all kinds to power the local food movement. Now, that includes updates and news about career opportunities in modern ag from Upstart University, the online education platform powered by Plenty.

Starting this month, Upstart University will be creating bi-monthly newsletters to inform interested growers of:
  • What it's like to work on a modern farm
  • How to be more successful as a farm employee
  • Insights and experiences from real farmers
  • Available job opportunities in modern ag
“This is the next step for Upstart University students,” says Upstart U director Halle Brake. “The first is that future farmers are empowered and equipped with information, with skills, and with advising to help get their farms started. Second, for those who aren’t interested in starting a farm, Upstart U will now be able to help them find other career opportunities and job openings in modern ag.”

Plenty, the vertical farm company that powers Upstart University, is committed to the small farm and local food movement.

Current positions open for applications include Associate Grower, Senior Grower, and Operations Assistants. You can learn about Upstart U's effort to connect aspiring farmers with their dream jobs and find out about current and future opportunities at upstartuniversity.net/opportunities.
