NL: Moroccan tomato growers of Azura visit Albert Heijn
In October 2016, four Albert Heijn colleagues went to visit their Moroccan tomato supplier Azura as part of the sixth exchange program of the Albert Heijn Foundation. They took Azura staff this week to Albert Heijn locations in the Netherlands. Watch the video of their visit here.
Together they visited Albert Heijn XL in Purmerend, the distribution center in Pijnacker, our Dutch vegetable suppliers and the headquarters. By taking a closer look at each other’s business, the participants exchange knowledge about tomato production and sales and set up a business case: an actual challenge to improve products in presentation, quality and communication.
The Albert Heijn participants of the Albert Heijn Foundation Exchange Program 2017 are Marieke Antoni (Category Manager Fresh Produce Albert Heijn To Go), Jeroen Duijndam (Operational Manager Controlling DC Pijnacker), Martijn Meeuwissen (Concept Developer Formula Albert Heijn) and Edwin Spliet (Operational Manager Albert Heijn shops The Hague South). In this Dutch blog post they introduce themselves.
The Azura participants are Amandine Rampon (Research & Development Manager), Ayssam El Ghighai (Product Conformity & Scheduling Manager), Lahoucine Boujnah (Methods Office Manager) and Pierre Galup (Product Scheduling & Coordination Technician).
