New board game helps children eat vegetables

Every parent dreams of having fun during dinner, but the reality is often different. Are your children picky eaters? Do they refuse to eat anything green, resulting in them not eating a balanced meal? The board game De Reis van 5 (The trip of five) wants to change that.

You and your children become pirates, and you go on a voyage of discovery to conquer the world by doing creative and challenging food assignments. For example, the pirates meet snakes with grapes, and are ‘invited’ to pick fruit from a cucumber cactus.

All types of meals are represented in this pirate game. De Reis van 5 is inspired by the Food Pyramid, and encourages children to try new products without effort, so they can learn to eat more varied and healthier without effort.
