July 7, Brussels

EU: Registration open for CAP conference

More than 320,000 people and organisations have already shared their views on the future of the common agricultural policy through the public consultation, but whether or not you've already had your say, the European Commission still wants to hear from you.

Registrations are now open for the conference on the common agricultural policy on 7 July in Brussels that will share the conclusions of the consultation and give attendees the chance to continue the debate with Phil Hogan, EU commissioner for agriculture and rural development. Numbers are limited, so register soon if you want to make sure your voice is heard.

In addition to presenting the conclusions of opinion-based consultation, the conference will also share the results of the evidence-based approach carried out on the ground by the European Commission. Both sets of results, including the input from the conference itself, will feed into a communication on modernising and simplifying the CAP to be published by the Commission later in 2017, which in turn will assess the different options for possible policy developments.
