Will Huntelaar become one of us?
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, the professional footballer suffering from injuries, will leave German club Schalke 04 after this season. The performances of the former top scorer were disappointing partly due to his injuries, so that his contract in Gelsenkirchen won’t be renewed. It’s unclear whether and where he’ll continue his football career. However, he has been clear about the period after his career.
“I want to do the things I don’t have time for now. I’ve been growing fruit and vegetables with friends for some time now. I currently don’t have time to help them during the harvest. I just enjoy the communal aspect of it, with friends. We started mostly with fruit, including apples, pears, cherries, berries and plums, but for some time now, we’ve also focused on potatoes and asparagus. It will be three years before we can harvest the first asparagus.”
