Growing opportunities for turnkey projects in Eastern Europe

KG Greenhouses mainly builds greenhouses up to 5 hectares. That's their specialty. Bernardo: "We have a lot of experience doing this and it's our main strength." KG Greenhouses' customer base is worldwide: from Australia and Russia to Great Britain and Lithuania.

KG Greenhouses occupies the same building as KG Systems. KG Systems is the supplier of growing benches, cultivation systems and internal transport systems. The companies have the same owners, but each are a separate entity. Of course, they benefit from each others’ knowledge and expertise. Bernardo: "We complement each other, where it's useful. The combination works well. It's good to share our knowledge in this way."

In Macedonia, KG Greenhouses has its own training center. In collaboration with the Dutch government and a local partner, they have built a center where one can learn about modern cultivation techniques. Van Iperen and Van der Knaap Substrates are involved as suppliers. Moreover, they provide knowledge and sometimes they organize a seminar. Initially, this center was intended for the local market, but they also welcome people from all over the Balkans, Latvia, Ukraine, China and Kazakhstan.
