September 12, Edinburgh

UK: Vegetable Varieties Open Day at SASA facilities

CPVO, APHA and SASA are jointly organizing a Vegetable Varieties Open Day at the SASA facilities in Edinburgh (United Kingdom).

This open day is aimed at breeders, their representatives, examination offices, and users of protected vegetable varieties in the European Union. It will allow an exchange of views on essential aspects to vegetable DUS testing and in particular on the following issues:
  • latest developments and improvement in DUS testing procedures;
  • collaboration between EU examination offices in vegetables;
  • disease resistance characteristics in CPVO vegetable technical protocols;
  • current issues of concern to vegetable breeders and seed users.
This open day will also provide the opportunity to present ongoing DUS trials of vegetables at SASA in Edinburgh. A detailed agenda of the day as well as a participation form will be sent nearer the time.

Since the number of places is limited (100), if you are interested in attending, notify the CPVO (theodore@cpvo.europa.eu) as soon as possible.
