Australia: PCA tours Tasmanian greenhouse industry

Protected Cropping Australia is organizing a hydroponic greenhouse farm tour, workshop and lunch in Devonport, Tasmania on Tuesday 23rd May. Farms to be visited include Brandsema Hydroponics and Hills Transplants showcasing the latest in industry technology. 

On top of the farm tours, several interesting presentations will be given by industry specialists. Tony Bundock of Powerplants Australia for example, will share the latest information on technology development. Also David Francis of horticultural supply company Brinkman Australia will share an industry update. 

Growers that are exploring new crops and opportunities will be served an interesting presentation by Brett Henry of Way to Grow, who will give a presentation on the production of medical marijuana in the United States. 

Lionell Hill of DPOPWI will share an update on the recent Tomato Potato Psyllid outbreak. 

The day starts at 8.30 am at Brandsema St, Turners Beach and finishes with lunch at the Devonport Convention Centre.
