The jurisdiction of Nanhe is the largest vegetable production location of Wushan county (Gansu province), especially in terms of area used to grow Chinese lettuce. The quality of the lettuce is excellent, the vegetables are grown in environment-friendly conditions and are safe for consumers, and are therefore loved by customers.
Until now, the plantations in the river basin accounted for a total of 3,467 hectares (of which facilities surrounding the river account for 1,667 hectares and plantations in the hills take up the other 1,800 hectares). The output reaches 165,000 tons. The river basin is the most important vegetable production area of the county and the most important operation base located in the hills.
