Able adds task-management system for small farmers

The next innovation in Able farm management software has arrived. The program now offers a full task-management system aimed at allowing growers to spend even more time working in the greenhouse instead of sitting in the office.

The latest updates build on Able’s existing planning capabilities, which allow farmers to:

Access relevant market and industry information.
Plan crop timelines and project revenue.
Avoid hours of research.

Now, Able has taken the next step in functionality. Its task-management system is designed to help small commercial farmers stay on top of everything they need to know to keep their greenhouse humming.

“It gives you a running log of what’s done and what needs to be done so that you can keep track of where you’re at for the week and keep everybody on task,” says Chris Lukenbill. He initially started using Able after finding nothing comparable to help him manage his own greenhouse.

Farmers can take advantage of a full calendar outlook that includes tasks created automatically by Able based on inputs from the plans users have populated. They can then add their own tasks and track the progress as the season progresses. Once the initial planning is done, data entry is minimal.

Able’s original planning features will always remain free, while farmers can access the additional capability with a monthly fee.
