US (AR): Planning for success for vegetable producers

With support from the Southern Extension Risk Management Center and Southern Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education, NCAT and Heifer International are offering back-to-back workshops for vegetable producers.

Workshop sessions on the first day will include a discussion of financial management, marketing strategies, produce safety, and digital tools for the savvy grower. Participants will also tour the Heifer Ranch CSA to learn about organic production techniques and protected culture.

Day two of the workshops will cover small-scale equipment and scaling-up production. Participants are welcome to attend either day or both days. The events are free and lunch will be provided.

Scholarships are available to cover lodging and meals for those staying the night on May 10 in order to attend both workshops.
