CAN (ON): Police asks public to “Romaine Calm” after $45K lettuce theft

Sometime between 8:00pm on Friday March 31 and 4:00pm on Saturday April 1, 2017 an unknown suspect(s) stole a large commercial truck and trailer that was parked on the property of 50 Covington Street in Hamilton. Inside the refrigeration trailer was approximately $45,000 worth of lettuce.

The police force in Hamilton are asking for help from the public in a pretty original way:



Suspects
The suspect(s) drove the truck into the City of Toronto leaving the truck behind which has been recovered but the suspect(s) transported the trailer with the lettuce inside to an unknown location.

The Ontario Licence Plate attached to the trailer is P9002D.

Detectives are hoping that the public can assist with the investigation and are asking anyone who may have information about this crime to contact them.
