Poland: Admiro tomatoes reach 2.80 Euro per kilo
The start of the season entails a slow growth of the production and, in turn, a high price for Admiro tomatoes. If to this we add the high demand for tomatoes observed in certain countries, the price goes up considerably. "This happens every year; as the season develops, the volume will increase and prices will fall," states Kornelia Lewikowska, of Green Best. Although the average price that this tomato variety will reach this year is difficult to predict, last year, for instance, it stood at 0.67 Euro per kilo.
Germany, Denmark, Italy and France are the destinations for these tomatoes, as that is where Green Best's main clients are. "As a trading company and exporter, without our own production, we have the advantage of working with different producers and having a wider range of products in the market, which allows us to offer them at more competitive prices," comments Lewikowska.
