US: National Organic Program shares training for certifiers and inspectors
The annual training provides critical information, updates, and reminders to certifiers, as well as serves as a communication tool between the Accreditation and International Activities Division and its certifier clients. Over 200 certifier staff and other industry partners attended the event.

During the training, Miles McEvoy, NOP Deputy Administrator and Cheri Courtney, NOP Accreditation and International Activities Division (AIA) Director presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Patricia Kane, Coordinator of the Accredited Certifiers Association, for her many years of service to the Organic Industry.

Interactive training for organic certifiers and inspectors
NOP has published an interactive scenario-based training program for organic certifiers and inspectors. The training follows an organic inspector through an annual inspection with a certified organic farmer. Using a series of “choose your own adventure” scenarios, the training teaches sound and sensible inspection principles in a practical and engaging way.
