15-17 March at Horti Asia in Bangkok Thailand:

Dutch-Japanese investment forum to discuss smart Asian horticulture

Horticulture in Asia is undergoing rapid changes these days. Especially as a result of a rising middle class that increasingly demands better and more safely grown produce. Therefore sustainable protected horticulture and greenhouse farming practices are no longer a pioneering activity but have become an industry on its own.

Combined with the increased interest in other controlled environment agriculture activities such as vertical farming, Asia provides room for development within its horticultural industry. Also investors and multinationals from other industries realize this and during the upcoming Horti Asia trade show in Bangkok in March, a special Smart Horticultural Investment Forum will take place to discuss the potential of Dutch horticultural solutions within the Japanese agrifood industry.

For this seminar, the Horti Asia invited 25 delegates from some of Japan's largest enterprises that have ties with Agrifood industries. Delegates include, but are not limited to, representatives from companies such as Agriincubator, Agrimind, Salad Bowl, Nippon Del Monte Agri Company, Yamada Nurseries, Ota Floriculture Auction, Kunieda Rose Farm, Asai Nursery, Arysta LifeScience, Ibusuki Yasaino Oukoku, Diamond Stars, Osaki Farm, Kikkoman, Ureshinoagri, Takahiko Agro-Business,JFE Engineering and Sunny Japan.
