"We can be proud of the fact that we are the first Italian company to introduce corrugated cardboard trays that are digitally water printed, developed in cooperation with Ghelfi Ondulati. It is a wrapped product created for a single client and, at the moment, for a single product - peppers. But the tray could also be used for other vegetables such as Piccadilly tomatoes or courgettes," explains Vincenzo Marrali (in the photo above) from Cooperativa Agricola San Tommaso.
"The technology has already been used on a national level, but never for wrapped trays. We use these trays with our trio of peppers (red, yellow and green) of category I and II (60-90 mm grade)."
Giuseppe Marino and Vincenzo Marrali from Cooperativa San Tommaso see the importance of communicating the origin of a product, or conveying how it is grown and where.
"We are confident about the quality and healthiness of our products and want to share this information with consumers. The photos describe the location and growing stages of our crops."
