UK: Levity Crop Science expands research team

Levity Crop Science has again expanded its research team, recruiting Dr Sally Wilkinson, a leading expert in crop stress. Dr Wilkinson who joins Levity as Research Manager, gained twenty years experience as a senior researcher at Lancaster University before joining Levity, and has a strong track record in crop science research.

Sally said “my role is to design and oversee research carried out both in house and via third parties, from glasshouse experiments through to large scale field trials. My bread and butter is the creation of protocols that probe how and why crop plants often don’t reach their full yield or quality potential. Such knowledge can be a key that opens up avenues for the development and/or evaluation of unique products, specifically designed to rectify problems identified by growers themselves.”

Levity MD David Marks said “Levity launched several ground-breaking products during 2016, and our product development is underpinned by our team of crop scientists. I am delighted that such a high calibre scientist is joining our research team. We have more than doubled our research team in the last year, and this investment in innovation is delivering truly innovative products”.
