Agro Care expansion finalizes in Tunisia and Morocco

Agro Care is not just expanding in the Netherlands this year, they're also growing in North Africa. The construction of stage 4 in Tunisia is starting, and the Moroccan plot is also being filled up with buildings.

Desert Joy
In 2012, Agro Care started the Desert Joy project in El Hamma, Tunisia. In 2014, the company was the first African tomato nursery to receive the Fair Trade certificate. Desert Joy grew to 15 hectares, and another five hectares of expansion are currently being worked on. That will fill up this plot.

Due to the merger with Kesgro, the company also has a location in Morocco at its disposal. In Agadir, four hectares are still being built, filling up this plot. Furthermore, Agro Care will also build 20 additional hectares in Middenmeer, and this is also the last available space at this location. In total, the company will expand to 178 hectares of greenhouses this year.
