Priva, Groen Agro and Grodanorganizes short course in Harlow

UK: Substrate Irrigation – would you like to do it better?

Nowadays, growers have access to a lot of useful information about how to improve the greenhouse air environment, but let’s not forget that the root environment is equally important for optimal production of intensive crops in substrate.

And, all the time, there are new challenges to overcome. Whether it is the cost and availability of suitable irrigation water, the escalating price of fertilizers, increasing regulation for irrigation run off, the threat of water borne pathogens or more stringent environmental concerns within the distribution chain, the need for best irrigation practice has never been greater.

That’s why Priva, Grodan and Groen Agro recently pooled their considerable global experience and knowledge to write a definitive guide to Best Practice Guidelines for Greenhouse Water Management.

And now, Priva invite you to a free, one day seminar on the 31st January to hear the authors of that publication explain how following the best practice guidelines can increase production, reduce the cost of water and fertiliser, eliminate threats from water borne disease and also ensure that your environmental credentials are in line with the expectations of the distribution chain.

You will be shown which control settings to use, so that you can be confident that you are running your irrigation system in the most efficient, secure, cost effective and environmentally friendly way.

All those attending will receive a complimentary print copy of ‘Best Practice Guidelines for Greenhouse Water Management’ and a USB stick with the electronic version, copies of the speakers presentations and other useful information.

This seminar will be relevant to all growers of edible glasshouse crops as well as soft fruit producers in both poly tunnels and glasshouses using hydroponics.
