Fundraiser:

US (AZ): Southern Arizona Food Hub connects growers with restaurants

A group of Arizona entrepreneurs founded Pivot Produce' Southern Arizona Food Hub to help Tucson local farms to connect with restaurants and consumers. A fundraising campaign is currently taking place to support their expansion and is going on until Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Also CEAC's Dr. Tollefson is involved in the project and is working on a USDA Local Food Promotion grant application, which would quadruple funds and ensure Pivot become a permanent and reliable fixture in Tucson's farming and dining communities.

You can help Pivot Produce to reach their goal and needed funds by visiting their crowdfunding website and become involved: https://pivotproduce.causevox.com/

Money donated to this campaign will go directly into the business in the following ways:
• Buying larger quantities of produce to better serve restaurants
• A walk-in refrigerator to hold said produce between deliveries
• A lease on a small refrigerated truck, instead of our current '86 Chevy station wagon
• A warehouse space a.k.a. Pivot HQ - Currently they work out of a small warehouse space rented at EXO Coffee Roast Company
