Uganda’s ag minister confirmed for Agribusiness Congress East Africa

“Agriculture shining bright for Uganda” will be the theme of the keynote address by the Hon. Ssempijja Vincent Bamulangaki, Uganda’s Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, during the opening session of the upcoming Agribusiness Congress East Africa in Kampala on 29 November. The organisers of the event have confirmed that the Minister will address some 150 agri experts that are expected to gather for the fourth edition of Agribusiness Congress East Africa hosted by The Grain Council of Uganda in Kampala with the official support from the National Agricultural Advisory Services and the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries of Uganda. It is the first time that this regional event is taking place in Uganda.

The opening session, which starts at 09h00 on Tuesday, 29 November, will also feature:

Keynote address: “Paradigm shift” in agriculture - Dr Sinare Y Sinare, Chairman, Agriculture Council Tanzania, Tanzania
Eastern and Southern African market opportunities in agribusiness - Argent Chuula, CEO, Alliance for Commodity Trade in Eastern and Southern Africa (ACTESA) - Specialized Agency of Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Zambia
