NL: Dacom and Crop-R join forces

Dacom and Crop-R are combining forces. From now on they will continue under the name Dacom Farm Intelligence. With this joining of forces, Dacom and Crop-R are placing a strong combination on the market. Data driven insights are the future of agriculture and the developments in this follow each other in quick succession. Dacom Farm Intelligence brings the world of data collection, and the turning of this data into concrete advice, together. All of this to produce a better insight into the daily working processes of the grower and the agri business. Satisfying the needs of connected users, in a fast and focused manner, is the main reason for the organisations coming together.

Dacom develops and supplies specialised data-driven advice services and sensor equipment to agricultural companies and the agri business across the world. Crop-R makes management software for agriculturalists and offers an online platform for the collection and exchange of plot information. There was already intensive collaboration between Dacom and Crop-R. Earlier this year Dacom successfully started offering online weather, irrigation and crop protection advice on the Crop-R platform. The combination serves a worldwide customer base of over 30,000 registered users.

Over the next six months there will be process of integration of the products and services of Dacom and Crop-R. A collective helpdesk for customer questions has been set up. The current functions will remain available and will be combined step by step and seamlessly integrated. The full switch to Dacom Farm Intelligence will be finalised on 1 March 2017. The team of 30 employees will continue to develop the products and services and offer them from both locations in Emmen and Groningen.
