Poland: High temperatures backdrop for 18th Dni Ogrodnika

Last weekend the Polish horticulture industry again gathered near Kalisz for the 18th edition of the Dni Ogrodnika Gardener Days in Goluchow.

Goluchow is located 20 minutes north of Poland's main greenhouse area Kalisz. Every week in September, the city takes center stage for Poland's main event for the local greenhouse industry. The exhibition aims to inform growers and gardeners of plants and vegetables about new technologies and discuss the state of the industry.

Last year a total of more than 200 greenhouse suppliers, constructors, consultants and young plant growers were exhibiting at the show. That year the event attracted over 10,000 domestic and international horticulture professionals from Czech Republic, Estonia, The Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary and others.

"This year it was a very warm weekend. This attracted slightly less visitors", says exhibitor Chris Aarts of tomato hook manufacturer C&E Draadbewerking, who was present in Goluchow for the eighth consecutive year.

C&E was one of the many Dutch suppliers at Dni Ogrodnika; also Svensson, Horticoop, HollandScherming, HollandGaas, Crone, Certhon, Van der Waay, Empas and Hortilux were present at the booth of their Polish distributor Jaksa.
