Great British Tomato Conference discusses Brexit & more

The Great British Tomato Conference 2016 is now open for bookings. You can book online by visiting www.britishtomatoes.co.uk where you will find further details regarding timings of all events and conference dinner dress code etc.

Once again the event will be held over 2 consecutive days with a conference pre-event taking place on Wednesday 28th September at the conference venue. This year there will be a free (to AHDB members) Growsave event focussing on CO2 issues. For more details see: http://www.growsave.co.uk/events/smart-use-of-cosub2sub Later in the afternoon the annual TGA AGM will be held, which all members are encouraged to attend.

The day completes with the famous TGA Conference dinner. This year the after dinner speaker is Martin Hewitt. Martin will talk about his career chronology as captain in the British Army based in Afghanistan, representing Britain in the Paralympic world championships, walking to the North Pole with Prince Harry and his inspirational views on leadership and teamship.

And so on to conference day itself. Over the past 9 months the TGA Conference team have been preparing the schedule. A mix of commercial, technical and additional focus on succession planning as well as discussion of the recent Brexit vote, will be of interest to the whole tomato industry and beyond.
