Viveros California presents Marisol

New strawberry variety for southern Italy

Quantity or quality? This is the question strawberry producers ask themselves every year. Produce increased volumes without considering organoleptic qualities, flavour and shelf life or focus on quality while producing less? In a market that looks for excellent products but is not always willing to pay more for them, it would seem the first option would be an obvious choice. But there are some exceptions and one of these is Marisol.

Once again, Marisol maintained its production while keeping quality high. This year, plants exceeded the 700 grams per plant and the fruit had good grades and an excellent flavour.

Traders confirmed that shelf life remained good throughout the entire production cycle.

A variety like this should be marketed with its own name, because its characteristics make it easily recognisable and capable of competing with the best strawberry varieties currently being cultivated in southern Italy. Its rusticity, vigour and production capacity has immediately caught the attention of those who visited the crops.

Its rusticity also means less nutritional additions are necessary, which is not only good for the environment, but also enables the saving of significant amounts of money.

Spanish Viveros California S.L. decided to bet on Marisol in southern Italy. "Our customers will be able to find fresh high-quality and very productive plants until October. We are proud of contributing to the development of strawberry cultivation in southern Italy."

All those interested in this variety can contact Viveros California S.L. in the various production areas.
