US (WI): Desert Aire systems address grow room HVAC challenges
“GrowAire Dehumidification Systems for Indoor Climate Control” is a 5-page, 4-color publication that describes the challenges these facilities face from humidity, temperature and airflow control that change as plants develop, and according to the types of crops being grown. Desert Aire’s GrowAire systems address these challenges as well as evapotranspiration issues, helping to save energy and resources, to prevent the formation of biological contaminants, and to promote the overall success of indoor farming operations.
Desert Aire’s GrowAire product line is configurable to meet specific grow room needs. The systems feature an advanced refrigeration design that can vary sensible heat ratios and adjust room temperatures independently of space dehumidification needs, responding to the huge differences between lights on versus lights off modes. The units range in size from 1 to 60 nominal tons to serve a wide variety of indoor growing spaces. GrowAire systems can be designed to meet exact growing conditions from 65°F to 85°F at 45% to 75% RH. Desert Aire offers several control choices to integrate GrowAire systems with building management networks.
