BP Grower enjoys being part of burgeoning aquaponics industry

As aquaponic and hydroponic growing methods are increasing in presence across North America, Beaver Plastics has now teamed up with Amazon Business in order to serve the growing demand for their hydroponic and aquaponic components even better.

Beaver Plastics manufactures soil-less cultivation systems to produce commercial hydroponic crops. The products are ideally suited for deep water culture and specially designed for growers that are part of the growing community in the niche industry of growing both fish and greens in a sustainable and efficient setting.

Many of these growers often struggle to find the perfect system. "Producers need to be able to focus in on production methods that best suit their growing regions and markets. Worrying about the components of the production should not be part of their equation", explained Paul O'Neill of Beaver Plastics. His company is offering complete systems and critical components for these growers; from Hortiblock cultivation trays to propagate young plants, to lettuce rafts to grow heads of lettuce on water.

Next generation technology

Beaver works closely with produce growers to continuously innovate the products. "We're developing new products for aquaponics and hydroponic growers and encourage dialogue from our customers to help us in developing next generation technology and innovations", said O'Neill.

Have a look at this video from PBS in which Beaver Plastics' customer and aquaponic grower, Ouroboros Farms, explain how they cultivate 2,000 heads of lettuce a week and sell them for 3 dollar each:

Amazon Business

"We're seeing a global increase in aquaponic and hydroponic growers and system developers using our lettuce rafts and Hortiblock cultivation trays, particularly in North America", said O'Neil. He explained that they can now serve this growing demand even better as their products are included in Amazon's Fullfillment and Prime Programs, where Amazon handles third-party sellers’ back-end operations, including storage, fulfillment, and customer service. This enables Beaver plastics to gain access to a much wider customer base and deliver their products faster.
