Drone potential for agricultural surveys

The Geo-Mapper 1900 is the fixed wing answer to fast, easy, simple agricultural surveys. The aerofoil design of this unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) makes it ideal for long distance flights, with average flight times well over 60 minutes. The user friendly drone is fully autonomous - meaning flight paths can be set by GPS and the UAV collects data without need for interaction by the drone pilot. It'll also take-off and land completely autonomously.

The lightweight EPP foam body and aerofoil design provides a rugged distance drone, covering large acreage within minutes for rich data set collection to create 3D maps. The optional payloads include near infra-red, visible spectrum, and thermal imaging cameras, making the Geo-Mapper a multi-tasking tool for any survey company.

The Geo-Mapper is available from new company, COPTRZ™, a team of drone enthusiasts. Steve Coulson, Founder of COPTRZ™, said of the Geo-Mapper 1900: "We're excited to offer such a dynamic, multi- tasking drone suited to so many different types of survey project. Ideal for everything from agriculture to construction, the Geo-Mapper has been hand-picked by our team as the best - and only - fixed wing drone offered by COPTRZ™.

"The lightweight features, portability, and different payload options make the Geo-Mapper ideal for many situations, and the fully autonomous modes mean even newly-qualified drone pilots can fly it with confidence! The significant detail provided by high resolution cameras means accurate maps can be produced thanks to 1.7cm ground resolution images, while the long flight time makes it ideal for surveying large sites or long distances, such as across rail networks or high voltage powerlines.

"We're excited to bring such a versatile drone to multiple markets as the start of the drone revolution."

Drones can help survey companies to save time and money, and the Geo-Mapper 1900 handles rich data sets with ease. The autonomous flight options really reduce the number of people required out in the field to conduct a survey - instead of a team, now it's just the drone operator! UAVs are also unique in providing an aerial view for surveys which have been traditionally carried out on foot, which would leave margin for human error, access difficulties, and worker risk in hazardous areas.

The Geo-Mapper 1900 is available in several different packages offered by COPTRZ™, which is also keen to help businesses new to using drones by offering purchase, hire, training, and pilot combinations.

The Geo-Mapper 1900 is available from £8,995; hire purchase options are available.
