According to Javier Fenoy, export area manager at IDM Agrometal, the exhibition in Amsterdam is an important event to meet existing and new customers active in the greenhouse sector in cold climate countries. In Amsterdam they meet people from all over the world to show their products and explain their services. "Many of our machines are shipped to greenhouse operations in many different countries all over the globe, so we look forward to meeting new customers from any geographical area."
IDM manufactures a wide range of transportation and automated machinery for the greenhouse industry. They are specialized in the design and development of special equipment like scissor lifts, greenhouse cropworker carts, wheelbarrows, harvesting trolleys and dedicated spraying equipment, for both pipe rail and soil greenhouses. According to Fenoy, customers appreciate the simple design of their products, while they are still engineered very cleverly. "As well as this, our machines are known for their quality".
"As we export our products to 29 different countries around the world, it's important for us to focus on quality, reliability and good service. Our machines are made to last and we try to avoid the need for repairs. However, our distributors are provided with maintenance training too, so in the seldom case that a problem occurs, the machine can be fixed very easily. Everything is designed and engineered a step ahead with a focus on export, making the technology as simple as possible."
Besides marketing their products to growers in different locations and climates, IDM is also developing customized-machines for international seed breeders. “These companies have a high level of technical demands and need specific solutions with special features. Our Technical Department develops solutions that meet their particular demands.”
At the Greentech, IDM will showcase not only some of their work and lift carts for piperail and soil greenhouses, but also some of their Fumimatic spraying machines. "This year we will introduce a smaller version of the sprayer, especially designed for the smaller grower with less purchasing capacity."
