Connected Screening and PlantVoice:

Hoogendoorn introduces new innovations at GreenTech

Since the start of the energy-efficient cultivation strategy 'The Next Generation Growing' (NGG), Hoogendoorn has been closely involved. One of their researchers, J. Voogt, was co-writer of the first book on the basics of NGG. Also, the latest techniques on humidity transfer, light transmission and energy savings have been integrated in their automation solutions.

At their booth, Hoogendoorn will have a demonstration on their new software modules Connected Screening (developed with Svensson) and PlantVoice, their new Plantmonitoring software. Growers and advisors are also invited to join the free breakfast workshop. The Hoogendoorn Team can be found at booth 11.710 in hall 11.

Connected Screening
The new Connected Screening module is a technology and knowledge cross-over between Svensson, market leader in screening, and Hoogendoorn, innovator in horticultural automation. With Connected Screening the effect on ventilation, humidity transfer, energy savings and transmission of light and outgoing long wave radiation is calculated based on the specific characteristics of Svensson screens and its position. With this data more screening hours can be reached without risking a too high humidity below fully closed screens. This allows growers to maintain a homogeneous climate and realise extra energy savings up to 20%.

Breakfast workshop
On Wednesday, 15 June 2016 Hoogendoorn and Svensson bring expertise together to inform you on the latest developments learned on Next Generation Growing at GreenTech in Amsterdam RAI.
