US: Little boy's broccoli farm dream comes true

4-year-old Max's story went viral after his parents uploaded a YouTube video, telling him they were going to a broccoli farm but instead surprising him with a trip to the circus. Unfortunately their plan backfired, as it turned out that Max really did want to go to a broccoli farm.

After seeing his video on YouTube, the team at Tanimura & Antle, a third generation family-owned farm, invited Max to visit them in Salinas.

"The Tanimura and Antle families believe that educating children about farming and the importance of their food source is the best tool to promote lifelong healthy eating habits," Caitlin Antle Wilson said in a press release.

Max and his family flew to California from New Jersey. They saw broccoli being harvested, rode tractors and helped prepare the fields for future broccoli crops.

“Max truly loved touring our broccoli farm and we know we have a broccoli fan for life!" Wilson said.
