NL: Den Ouden Groep takes over Jiffy Green Roof substrate sales & production

With the construction of Jiffy’s new substrate facility, 1Plant in Zwijndrecht (NL), their main focus will be on high quality propagation and growing substrates, thus the decision has been made to transfer the production and sales of their Green Roof substrates to the ‘Den Ouden Groep’.

Since 2011, Jiffy has been supplying light weight substrates for both intensive and extensive green roofs. Green roofs offer multiple sustainable advantages in urban areas such as buffering rain water and reducing the so called ‘urban island effect’.

Den Ouden Groep is an international service oriented family business with approximately 180 employees. Den Ouden Groep is active in several branches, such as civil and agricultural engineering, concrete surfaces, soil remediation, archaeology and UXO clearance (Bodac) as well as the manufacture and distribution of organic fertilizers around the world.
