Netherlands: Sports vegetables conquer sports fields

Greenco and Schur Star Systems have developed a snack pack in the form of a sports shirt under the name Tommies sports vegetables. The product is filled with Tommies snack tomatoes, mini cucumbers or snack peppers. The design is supposed to encourage a healthier product range in sports canteens.

The foundation 'Jongeren Op Gezond Gewicht’ (Young People at a Healthy Weight), which has long supported the message of healthy canteens, supports this initiative. After a successful pilot at 50 clubs in the autumn of 2015, another 200 clubs in the Netherlands are now welcome to test Tommies sports vegetables. Ultimately the intention is to conquer the Netherlands with these sporty vegetables. The sale is supported by an attractive display in the canteen or clubhouse.
