An innovative program for energy simulation

EnerSerre is an energy simulation program tailored to the specificities of horticultural greenhouses. It calculates the energy consumption of any greenhouse to be built or retrofitted wherever it is: heating, cooling and dehumidification. It helps growers and designers to make the right investment decision by comparing the energy consumption of different options or different sizes of equipment.



The main innovative features are:
  • Calculations are dynamic with hourly step considering ground heat storage.
  • Meteorological data are performed with Meteonorm upon GPS position wherever it is.
  • Crop evapotranspiration is calculated considering crop, LAI, inner climate, equipment...
  • Regulation parameters are similar to those of climate & energy management automation solutions (Priva, Hoogendoorn, Hortimax…) such as screen opening according to external solar radiation…
  • Algorithms, combining Energy plus and Excel, can be easily adjusted for any research program.
Accuracy of results is better than 10%, validated in RATHO/ASTREDHOR research station in Brindas (Lyon, France).
