Q-flow automated infeed system directs food to flow wraps

Aweta’s latest addition to its range is the new Q-Flow supply system, an infeed system which automatically directs fruit and vegetable portions towards flow wrap machinery using singulating and flow control and which is compatible with main flow wrap machinery.

The fully automated system can work at speeds of up to 65 units of packaging per minute. It can deal with both odd and even numbers of fruit or vegetables without any further adjustments being necessary; all that needs to be done is to set the quantity of products needed on the touchscreen.

It can also be used to handle the packaging of products both with and without trays. In the case of tray-less packaging, product portions can be any quantity between 4 and 8, while the quantity for packaging with trays can vary from hotdog style 4-in-a-row trays to packs of 4, 6 and 8.

The infeed can be operated either manually or automatically and the system, featuring a touch screen interface, fills any packaging or tray exactly. The system has been designed to be fruit-friendly and has the capacity to deal with product sizes of between 55 and 75 cm.
