French growers to install hybrid grow light solution from Hortilux Schréder

Only one month after the official introduction of the new Hortiled product line, the first project is a fact. SCEA De La Giraudière, member of the Groupe Océane in Nantes, has opted for the hybrid grow light solution of Hortilux for its new 8,000 m² location. In consultation with SCEA De La Giraudière, Hortilux recommended a combination of HSE NXT II, Hortiled Top and Hortiled Inter to realise the optimal light level for the tomato crop. The commission is scheduled for the coming summer, to ensure the installation is ready for the next season.

Jean Rene Briand, tomato grower of SCEA De La Giraudière, commented, “The mix of HPS and LED offers us a total light level of 225µmol/m2.s. An extremely high light output without generating extra heat, due to the combination with LED.”

For this project Hortilux provides the complete grow light solution, including engineering, project management and hardware (fixtures, cables and control panels). Local installer Divatec will take care of the installation for the project under Hortilux supervision.
