UK: APS Salads acquires NorthBank Growers

The Greenery has sold NorthBank Growers to APS Salads. This was written on GFActueel.nl, a Dutch fresh produce newssite. The Greenery owned NorthBank Growers since 2012.

Last year, another large UK tomato grower, Cornerways Nursery, left the Greenery/Coforta by signing a five year agreement with Thanet Earth for the marketing of their produce.

According to a spokesperson of The Greenery, the company is currently sourcing other local producers in the UK to serve the British market.

APS Salads is the UK's largest tomato grower. In 2015 they bought the Wight Salads Group, bringing the total acreage at 106 hectare, of which 46 are high tech greenhouses.
