Engineered specifically for low-ceiling applications, the NXT-LP offers growers the performance they have come to expect from the NXT family of products. The product’s low profile design lends itself to close-to-ceiling mounting, to allow for more space between the luminaire and the surface of the crop where ceiling height is limited.
“Lighting taller crops in an indoor environment has typically been a challenge for growers,” explains Todd Phillips, General Manager at PL Light Systems. “When you have a low ceiling height, the distance between the light fixtures and the surface of the crop becomes an issue, since the heat from the lamps is intense enough to burn the leaves when they’re too close. The light uniformity is also compromised when there is sub-optimal distance between the fixture and the crop surface.”
With the introduction of PL Light’s NXT-LP, growers no longer have to choose between lighting quality and optimum mounting distance from the crop in low-ceiling environments. “With a total height of just 7.5 inches, the NXT-LP can deliver optimum light output, along with unparalleled uniformity and depth penetration in spaces with a very limited ceiling height,” said Ian Hegi, Technical Manager (Quality / R&D) at PL Light Systems.
