Rijk Zwaan's Trial Center ready for new season

With 96 planted varieties, Rijk Zwaan’s demo facility in Kwintsheul, The Netherlands is ready for yet another new season. In Canada the new plants will enter the greenhouses this week.

“One of the specialities in the spotlight is the snack tomato Ternetto RZ (72-190 RZ),” says Leo van Meurs from the Dutch Trial Center Tomato. "Retailers and marketing professionals are always looking for new colors, flavors and shapes, and we firmly believe that we have some nice newcomers to show them again this year.”

“The demo facility is now open to visitors, and we’re looking forward to welcoming growers, retailers, restaurants and other partners from the vegetable chain at home and abroad. This is an excellent opportunity for them to see, smell and taste our complete tomato range for themselves.”

Demo facility in Canada

Rijk Zwaan also has a demo facility in Canada where visitors can see, taste and evaluate the entire tomato range for the North American market. Planting takes place at the demo site in Leamington around 5 January and the demo is open to visitors from the end of April.
