American Hydroponics growers seminar:

US: Hydroponic enthusiasts from across the globe converge on New Jersey

Hydroponic enthusiasts from 7 countries traveled to Newark New Jersey to attend the Premier American Hydroponics “Introduction to Hydroponic Crop Production” seminar. This 2-day information-packed event drew attendees from Canada, Brazil, Honduras, Columbia, Vietnam, and the USA. The seminar took place at Garden State Urban Farms, featuring presentations by a diverse group of industry experts on subjects such as hydroponic history, commercial crop production, produce marketing, biological pest control, and using hydroponics in education and skills training.

Each session afforded attendees the opportunity to discuss questions and concerns during robust Q & A and roundtable discussions. Notable discussions with experienced growers included establishing/maintaining customer relationships, pesticide-free insect/disease control, and food safety (GAP/HACCP) requirements and protocols.
Participants also spent time in the greenhouse, learning seeding, transplanting, and harvesting techniques.

American Hydroponics has set forth as its primary goal to produce successful growers. To that end, AmHydro provides not only the best growing systems in the industry, but also the highest quality of training and support. “Running a successful hydroponic business requires far more than just a great growing system,” says Jenny Harris, President and CEO of AmHydro. “The system is only the beginning. Having over 100 years of commercial growing experience on staff allows us to expertly guide you through design, business planning, production, sales/marketing and beyond.” All attendees will now participate in monthly group follow-ups and continue to receive support and guidance. Due to the success and continued customer response, AmHydro is already planning new seminars on both the East and West coasts. These seminars will feature separate sessions for both new and advanced level growers to obtain information and hone their skills. The next scheduled seminar is for March at AmHydro’s new production facility in Arcata, CA. Visit www.AmHydro.com for more information and to sign up for newsletter updates.
